TEDxOrlando is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. Presenters are not paid to speak; all proceeds go toward event production costs.

TEDxOrlando operates under license from TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share ideas worth spreading. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks videos and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x=independently organized event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
